The simplest fun in the shop, and probably the oldest. Pop Pops are tiny paper twists holding a trace of powder that crack the moment they hit the ground. Fifty to a box, and you throw them.
There is no fuse and nothing to light, which makes them the one thing you can hand round in daylight while everybody waits for it to get dark. Rated F1, a low-hazard firework: safe to use with as little as 1 metre of space. Throw them down and away from people rather than at them.
Fifty in a box sounds like plenty until you open it. They will be gone before the first cake goes up.

Throw them down at the ground away from faces and eyes, never at people.
