📍 Where do you deliver?
We deliver to mainland Great Britain only — England, Scotland and Wales. We do not currently deliver fireworks to Northern Ireland (BT postcodes), the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or the Republic of Ireland. Remote mainland areas may have slightly longer lead times, but we do cover them.
💚 How does the Free Delivery collection work?
Any product in our Free Delivery collection automatically qualifies your whole basket for £0 UK mainland shipping at checkout, regardless of order value. Just add any item from the collection to your basket and standard-rate delivery is free when you check out. You can still upgrade to Express Delivery (£9.95) if you'd like priority routing on your order.
📆 What are your delivery timelines?
No. Fireworks are classified as explosives (1.4G / 1.3G) and cannot travel on standard overnight parcel networks — they require ADR-trained drivers and specialist vehicles, so next-day delivery isn't something we (or any UK firework retailer) can offer. Our standard and Express services both operate on scheduled delivery windows, and depending on season, route and volume, delivery can take anywhere from a few days to around two weeks from the date you order. During peak periods (Bonfire Night, New Year) we publish fixed cut-off dates so you can pick the window that lines up with your event. If you have a specific date in mind, order well in advance — and if you're working to a tight deadline, email help@galacticfireworks.co.uk before ordering so we can confirm what's realistic.
📅 When should I order to guarantee delivery?
For Standard Delivery, order before we close the route to your area (you'll see the live cutoff date at checkout). For Express, you have until a week later. Need it urgently? Contact us and we'll see what we can do.
📦 What does "Partially Dispatched" mean?
Just a quirk of our system! When packing bundles, items sometimes show as split temporarily. Don't worry - your complete order travels together on one van. Once it's on the road, you'll get your tracking link.
❓ What if something is out of stock?
If an item becomes unavailable during packing, we'll contact you. If time is critical and we can't reach you, we may substitute it with a similar item of equal or greater value so you still have fireworks for your event.
🚚 Why are firework delivery costs higher than regular parcels?
Fireworks are classified as explosives (1.4G/1.3G). They legally cannot go through standard parcel networks like DPD or Evri. They require ADR-trained drivers, specialist vehicles, and UN-certified packaging. We actually subsidise these costs heavily - the real cost is much higher!
🏠 What counts as a "safe place"?
Anywhere dry, secure, and out of sight - like a porch, garage, shed, or outbuilding. Not visible from the street is ideal. You can specify this in the "delivery instructions" at checkout.
