Galactic Update: February 2025

Hello, Galactic Family!

We hope 2025 is off to a spectacular start for you. It certainly is for us—we’ve been zooming up and down the country, delivering fireworks for all sorts of weddings, parties, and celebrations. February may traditionally be a quiet month, but here at Galactic HQ, we’re still buzzing with excitement!

Chinese New Year Highlights
One major highlight has been supplying fireworks for Chinese New Year celebrations, which fell relatively early this year. The biggest displays kicked off on 29 January and continued right through to 12 February. We’ve particularly noticed the celebrations growing in scale each year in cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, and Glasgow. As festivities transition from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake, we’re delighted to have played a role in lighting up the night skies with high-quality fireworks.

Looking Ahead to 2025
Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy preparing for the 2025 season. An ever-growing trend we’ve observed is the increasing popularity of low-noise fireworks. Personally, I think a good low-noise cake can enhance any display by creating a dynamic experience of louder and quieter effects, rather than constant noise. With the variety of low-noise options available these days, you can even put on a full display that’s visually stunning yet easier on the ears.

New Low-Noise Additions from Celtic
With that in mind, we’re thrilled to announce a few new lines from Celtic, a premium brand known for producing some of the best low-noise fireworks on the market. Although Celtic often comes with a slightly higher price tag, we believe you’ll agree it’s worth every penny once you see the quality in each shot and burst.

• Soho Shuffle
  This magnificent, low-noise firework lasts over two minutes and features a mesmerising mix of effects—from coloured horsetails and crackling, fanned comet trails to buzzing, fizzing coloured bees. Look out for its stunning firing patterns and visuals when it arrives later in 2025.

• Blues and Twos & Weeping Willow
  We’re expanding our range of Roman Candles with these two low-noise 9 mm candles. Blues and Twos unleashes 380 dense blue and red strobe stars, while Weeping Willow creates 285 shots of dazzling golden willows. Of course, we haven’t forgotten those who love something a little more traditional.

  Not necessarily low-noise, this 50-shot cake offers a truly unique sound—each pearl fizzes and zips across the sky with an eerie wail, while a shimmering golden mine effect sparkles beneath!

• Brexit
  We’re also welcoming back an old favourite. No matter your politics, Brexit will leave you speechless! This 25-shot fan (“dump cake”) fires all at once, filling the sky with gold mines and willows. Whether you use it as a dramatic finale or an attention-grabber to kick off a bigger show, it’s guaranteed to awe.
